When the world breaks, what can bring us together again? In the ancient Chinese myth, Nüwa smelts five-coloured stones to repair the fractured sky and save life on earth. On 29 October 2026, the Symphony Orchestra of the Volksoper Wien, A-Sharp Chorus (USA), Chorus Viennensis, Augarten Harmonics and international soloists bring this story to the Golden Hall as An-lun Huang's nine-movement choral-symphonic oratorio Patch the Sky – Mending the Sky. Benjamin Schmid performs in the first half.
