Gemeinsam mit dem @rundfunkchor Berlin und renommierten Gesangssolist:innen führen wir Verdis Messa de Requiem auf. Die Totenmesse war lange Zeit Verdis umstrittenste und berüchtigste Komposition, da sie sich mehr nach großer Oper anhört als nach Kirchenmusik, heute zählt sie zu seinen beliebtesten überhaupt.❤️‍🔥 Geleitet wird das Konzert von Eva Ollikainen, der finnischen Operndirigentin schlechthin! Den Abend beginnen wir mit dem A-cappella-Stück ›Heyr bú oss himnum á‹ (Erhöre uns im Himmel) von Anna Thorvaldsdottir, die eine enge künstlerische Freundschaft mit Ollikainen pflegt. Ihr Stück ist ebenfalls sakral inspiriert, es basiert auf einem isländischen Psalm. Mit Krassimira Stoyanova, Yajie Zhang, Gregory Kunde und Kostas Smoriginas haben wir auch wirklich Engelsstimmen - zugegeben opernhafte - dabei, die uns an diesem Abend imponieren werden.
